Thomas Johnson was inspected in 2016 and has been rated as a good school. There is a strong team with staff, governors, parents and pupils working effectively together.
Our aim is to ensure that children are happy in school and that they are learning to their full potential. Our curriculum is designed to be broad, balanced and enriching. You can find details of our curriculum content in the Information for Parents section, and visits to the school to see learning in action are encouraged.
We endeavour to provide a warm, supportive and caring environment in which pupils will develop and grow. In order to achieve this, we enjoy working closely with our parents to help develop the self-confidence and independence that makes successful learners.
There are a number of different ways in which parents can help; reading at home, helping in school, becoming more involved in the PTFA, supporting school activities and keeping us informed of important aspects in your child’s life. If you are a parent or grandparent and wish to become more involved in any way, please let us know.
We are a community school catering for 3-9 year olds. The school is in the village of Lidlington in Central Bedfordshire (our local authority).
We are very proud of our school and will be happy to show you around if you are considering applying for a place.
I look forward to meeting you.
